At the Edgemont Meadows in Durango, you will discover a number of amenities for you to enjoy the moment you move into our community. Each homesite within Edgemont Meadows was designed to have easy access to hiking/walking trails. These trails lead to the Florida River frontage that is one of the Edgemont community’s very best features. With an expansive meadow, views of the Florida River Ridgeline provide a wide-open feel for every homesite, even those tucked snuggly into the trees.

Life in Durango, Colorado
Life in Durango, Colorado is full of open space, clean mountain air,
exciting outdoor activities, and a peaceful existence in a small but
sophisticated town. The Edgemont Meadows community is
conveniently located just a few miles from historic downtown Durango —
giving residents easy access to fantastic restaurants and art galleries,
while providing room to breath and appreciate the outdoors
literally out your own door.
Enjoy Trails Right Outside Your Door
Edgemont Meadows is the closest of all Edgemont
neighborhoods to the trail along the Florida River. Residents
are provided a fishing pass and the river is stocked annually
by all of the Edgemont homeowners associations.
In addition to the trail along the river, an intricate trail
system provides ample places to roam, hike, or simply
reflect on the amazing nature that surrounds you.
Edgemont Picnic Grounds
Unique to Edgemont are the Private Picnic Grounds just a
short walk from your home. Many residents use the picnic area for
family gatherings, playing horseshoes, volleyball, and enjoying the
BBQ area complete with benches and picnic tables.
Occasionally, the picnic area is used to host charitable events,
comfortable for about 70 people.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow! Fishing
In addition to hiking your private trail along the Florida River,
there is also access to the river for excellent catch and release fishing.
The river is stocked with trout (rainbows everywhere) annually.
And because the irrigation take out is AFTER the
Edgemont Meadows riverfront property, the flow is not diminished.
Public Art
Since the beginning of the creation of the entire Edgemont community,
it has always been our vision to use subtle and artistic art for signage.
You won’t see commercial-looking wayfinding signs here.
We have always made it a priority to have our artistic
signage work in congruity with the environment.
It is all part of the Edgemont living expericence.
Everyone Gets a Pass!
In addition to stocking the Edgemont section of
the Florida River, all residents of Edgemont Meadows
receive their own fishing pass for catch & release
fishing of these stocked waters. It’s an amenity
that gets the most buzz around here! And even
if you don’t fish, your pass provides you immediate
recognition as a resident as you hike the trails
where you are bound to see wildlife along the way.
